1st year (2015/2016)

SEPTEMBER 2015

TEACHERS’ SKYPE MEETING: About the process of project and preparations of mobility.

GENERAL PRESENTATION AT SCHOOLS: Each school will prepare a general project presentation to all teachers and students to introduce the project aims, activities and process.

SELECTION OF PROJECT TEAMS: Each partner will decide on the project teams, questionnaire preparing, applying and evaluating teams and “Erasmus+ Corner” and other project boards at their school.

MOBILITY TO AUSTRIA (C1 – Teachers only): The first meeting presentations of the partners to introduce their schools, educational systems and cities. Initial questionnaires of teachers about their expectations from the project and their evaluation. Discussing on the website content. Detailing the first year programme, integration of the project into the curricula. Determining the first year chat hours and online lesson topics according to the project work plan.

 

OCTOBER 2015

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY (Spain): Information and pictures about the mobility country and displaying them on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.

MOBILITY TO SPAIN (C2 – Teachers & Students): Course and workshop about “El retablo del mar” –  a woodcutting representing traditional fishing life in one of the oldest parts of Gijón city. It will include the creation of a poster in which the students will express how they compare life at that time with the possibilities of present life. (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

MOBILITY EVALUATION INTERNATIONALLY: By all partners with a questionnaire prepared by hosting country.

MOBILITY EVALUATION LOCALLY: Each school will integrate project activities and objectives into its school curriculum.

PREPARING EVALUATION QUESTIONNAIRES (STUDENTS): About POSTERS / EUROPEAN UNION / ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME

 

NOVEMBER 2015

APPLICATION AND EVALUATION OF STUDENTS’ QUESTIONNAIRES: Result reports and graphics will be uploaded to the website. School teachers will meet to decide on further activities to be made according to the questionnaire results (e.g. extra lesson on EU and project’s aims etc).

AN ACADEMIC’S VISIT TO A SCHOOL: Each school will invite an academic from university, public institutions or art departments for a conference on different kinds of posters (cinema, propaganda, history, etc.) and prepare an interview with the guest. The studies and the interviews will be uploaded to the website.

 

DECEMBER 2015

SKYPE MEETING WITH COORDINATING TEACHERS: They will settle on ten most common European Community values via Skype meetings (DEVELOPING THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS)

LOGO & SLOGAN COMPETITION: Each country will choose the best Logo and Slogan works prepared by students, upload them on the project’s website and international vote will follow. The winning work will be the real “Poster ART” logo. The deadline – the end of January.

 

JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2016

SELECTION OF BEST ARTWORKS ON LOGO & SLOGAN: The best artworks will be determined by the evaluation teams of each school including the teachers and students. Winning students will take part in mobility in March 2016.

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY (France): Information and pictures about the mobility country and displaying them on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.  (DEVELOPING THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS)

 

MARCH 2016

PRESENTATION TO PARENTS,  LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND MEDIA: Each school will organize a presentation to introduce the project aims, activities and process for parents, local media, neighbouring school managers and local authorities of our cities (a conference, open day in schools, parents’ gathering).

CHAT AND ONLINE LESSON TOPICS DECISION: Chat topics and online lessons topics according to the project work plan will be determined with coordinating teachers.  (DEVELOPING THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS)

MOBILITY TO FRANCE (C3 – Teachers & Students): The history of poster art and the typology of posters (movie, advertising, propaganda). A workshop about composition and poster techniques (typography, iconography, scenario, etc) resulting in a poster freely expressed by students. A workshop on Poster Art as an unrestricted tool for communication. A visit and a workshop in the museum „Musée des arts décoratifs“ in Paris that holds different collections of posters. (IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

 

APRIL 2016

COMPETITION “LEARNING MAKES SENSE”: Students will discuss and prepare posters in small groups on 3 different issues (Early school leaving, Linguistic diversity and Creativity – the key to a success). The postcards of this activity and the exhibition that will follow will be prepared for all countries and videos documenting it uploaded on the project’s website. (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, RAISING AWARENESS FOR EUROPEAN VALUES)

MOBILITY EVALUATION LOCALLY: Evaluation, activities displayed on the “Erasmus+ Corner” and the video-presentations and exhibition photos uploaded to the website.

 

MAY – JUNE 2016

CHOOSING WINNERS OF COMPOSITION CONTEST: The best artworks will be chosen by the evaluation teams of each school including the teachers and students. Winning students will take part in mobility in October 2016

FIRST YEAR PROJECT E-MAGAZINE:  They will be prepared at each school locally and have explanations in English and mother language at the same time.

FIRST YEAR EVALUATION QUESTIONNAIRES (STUDENTS): They will be applied to the students in each school, the questionnaire teams at schools will evaluate them, prepare the result reports and graphics and upload them to the website.

FIRST YEAR EVALUATION: Project team and management staff at schools locally and with the coordinator teachers via skype meeting internationally.

 

2nd year (2016/2017)

OCTOBER 2016

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY: Information and pictures about the mobility country and displaying them on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.

MOBILITY TO ITALY (C4 – Teachers & Students): Collecting, printing or reproducing posters of films made in our region. The final product of this work will be used to set up a permanent exhibition in agreement with the ‘Museo del Cinema’ of Bari.  In addition, together with ‘Cineporto’ and with the Academy of Cinema, we will begin a process of planning and proposal of posters for one or more films (shorts, medium or full-length ones) that will be made in Puglia during 2015/2017.  (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

MOBILITY EVALUATION LOCALLY: Each school and the project activities will be integrated to the school curriculum.

PREPARING QUESTIONNAIRES TO IDENTIFY THE CURRENT SITUATION OF STUDENTS: They will be prepared to raise awareness about poster art, its different techniques and styles and some European issues to tackle.

 

NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 2016

APPLICATION AND EVALUATION OF QUESTIONNAIRES TO STUDENTS: Each school will apply the questionnaires to the students, evaluate, prepare the result reports and graphics and upload them to the website.

STUDENTS’ RESEARCH ON HORIZONTAL ISSUES: Students will research issues: racism, prejudice, gender equality, human rights and democracy in the European Community, discuss them in the chat hours and online lessons, prepare a report from their research, upload it to the website and display it on the “Erasmus+ Corner”. The deadline – the end of January 2017.  (DEVELOPING THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS, RAISING AWARENESS FOR EUROPEAN VALUES)

 

JANUARY 2017

PROJECT PROCESS EVALUATION: Project team and management staff at schools locally and with the coordinating teachers via Skype meeting internationally.

SECOND YEAR PROJECT E-MAGAZINE:  All partners will prepare an E-magazine cooperatively with all  activities of project having explanations in English only.

FEBRUARY 2017

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY (Macedonia): Information and pictures about the mobility country and displaying them on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.  (THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS)

„POSTER HUNT” ACTIVITY: Teachers and students in each country take part in a tour around their cities to document posters hung on walls, liftas columns,bus/tram stops, etc. The result of all researches will be an interactive map on the project’s website – a guide for vanishing art. All posters will be uploaded on the website with students’ descriptions justifying their choice of outstanding and culturally/socially important poster art.  (THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS)

 

MARCH 2017

MOBILITY TO MACEDONIA (C5 – Teachers & Students): A workshop for applying the techniques like linocut, dry point, stencil and aquatint in making posters. International groups of students will create posters about the school’s everyday problems and about social matters (immigration, racism, equality, varied cultures within a society, cyberbullying, etc.). (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

APRIL – MAY 2017

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY (Poland): Information and pictures on the mobility country research and display  on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.

COMPETITION „THE LANGUAGE OF IMAGES”: Students will prepare posters encouraging other pupils to learn different foreign languages.The deadline will be the end of May 2017. (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY: Information and pictures about the mobility country and displaying them on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.

MOBILITY TO POLAND (C6 – Teachers & Students): Professional artists will conduct workshops for students about screen printing. The outcome of workshops will be T-shirts and linen bags with pupils’ design on social issues prepared in Macedonia. We will take part in Schuman Parade in Warsaw as WALKING POSTERS where our Tshirt designs will be shown in a moving exhibition (on students’ chests).

Students will also go to a public event that is understood by everyone (National Opera in Warsaw, Polish National Ballet, Concert Hall) and after the performance they will design and paint in international groups their own posters based on what they have seen in the theatre, concert hall, etc.  (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

 

JUNE 2017

COMPETITION “EUROPEAN UNION & ERASMUS+”:  Students will do a research about EU and Erasmus+ programme and prepare for a competition on these matters. The competition should be held not later than in December 2017. (THE INVOLVEMENT OF PUPILS AND TEACHERS,  IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, IMPROVIG KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE EUROPEAN UNION AND ERASMUS+)

 

JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2018

WINNERS SELECTION OF “EUROPEAN UNION & ERASMUS+” COMPETITION: Students with best results will take part in mobilites in March 2018.

SKYPE MEETING WITH COORDINATING TEACHERS: They will establish chat topics and online lessons till the end of the project.

RESEARCH ON MOBILITY COUNTRY (Romania): Information and pictures on the mobility country research and display  on the “Erasmus+ Corners” of schools.

 

MARCH 2018

MOBILITY TO ROMANIA (C8 – Teachers & Students): Study of the Arts High school of Arad poster archives from hundreds of events organized over 25 years and discussing proposal ideas for a future event organized by this institution.Students will come up with ideas/sketches for the poster that will be used to promote THIS ERASMUS+ project. The promotional poster will be chosen from these proposals. Visit of the Art Biennial of Arad, that will take place in that period. Students will be asked to make idea proposals for a poster that will illustrate the project “Arad – European Cultural Capital 2020”. At the end of the project, an exhibition will take place showcasing the best poster projects and sketches constructed by the students in this time span. The exhibition will be held at a local art gallery in Arad and it will be advertised using materials made by students. (DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)

MAY 2018

MOBILITY TO AUSTRIA (C9 – FINAL MEETING FOR TEACHERS & STUDENTS): Students will take part in workshops about how much art there can be in a poster and about art designs for posters (Pop Art, Op Art, etc.). All participants will design typical architectural elements of a town. The park close to the school building will be changed into a small town with bus stops, litfas columns, places for walking and relaxing, etc. The media and local authorities will take active part in a simulation of the ART TOWN. (DEVELOPING SOCIAL SKILLS, DEVELOPING ARTISTIC SKILLS AND CREATIVITY, IMPROVING ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS, DEVELOPING MUTUAL CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING)
